Butterscotch Log

Butterscotch Log, a vintage handwritten recipe card


6-ounce package butterscotch morsels
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup pecans

1 egg white
1/2 cup pecans


Heat 6-ounce package of butterscotch morsels until melted. Mix in 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup pecans. Let chill 15-20 minutes. Roll into a log in the wax paper about 12-inches long.  Make lines on the log with a fork. 

Take 1 egg white, slightly beaten. Rub egg white on the log; use fresh wax paper, and cover with 1/2 cup pecans. Wrap tightly and chill for 1 hour.  Slice into pieces.
