Coconut Cake - Oregon

Coconut Cake, a vintage handwritten recipe card.

Ingredients

1 box yellow butter cake mix
 

Filling

16 ounces sour cream
12 ounces package frozen coconut
2 cups sugar

Method

Mix cake mix according to directions on the package. Bake 4 layers. 

Mix together filling ingredients and stir well so the sugar will dissolve.  It is better if you leave it in the refrigerator overnight and stir several times; but if you are in a hurry, you can make it when you bake the cake.  Bes sure it is mixed well.
