James Beard's Treasury of Outdoor Cooking

James Beard's Treasury of Outdoor Cooking is a great vintage cookbook for the person who loves to grill, smoke or barbecue.  As one would expect from James Beard, the cookbook is outstanding.  Not only are the recipes well planned, but the graphics and presentation in the cookbook are exceptional.  In addition to the images for the recipes, included throughout the cookbook are various works of art from museums around the world.  Originally published in 1960, this cookbook is a James Beard Classic.   Beard states in his introduction "the taste of the outdoors lends a wonderful air of festivity and well-being to a meal.  That's why I  wrote this book. It's been my aim to enable you to savor this atmosphere fully, wherever you live."

My copy of this great cookbook is missing the dust jacket, the image above is a copy of the inside title page.  The image below is a copy of the outside cover without the dust jacket, notice the image of the sun that continues onto the title page.
