Corinne's Corn Bread

Corinne's Corn Bread, a vintage type recipe card


1/4 cup sugar (or slightly less)
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
2/3 cup cornmeal
4 teaspoons baking powder


Cream sugar and butter. Beat egg, and add egg and milk. Sift flour, cornmeal, and baking powder. Add to rest. 

Beat well and bake in a greased pan in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.
