Pecan Pie


1/3 cup oleo
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup pecans
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup corn syrup - dark
1/2 teaspoon vanilla


Cream shortening and sugar - add remaining ingredients.  Pour into unbaked pie shell & bake in hot oven; 425-degrees ten minutes then at 325-degrees for twenty-five minutes.  

2 - 8-inch pie shells - more pecans.
