Steak with Vegetables

Steak with Vegetables


1/2 pound steak (flank, minute, round)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons peanut oil

Snow Peas, carrots, celery, or onions, peas, carrots, etc. 
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup water (or weak chicken broth)

1 teaspoon MSG


Slice thinly 1/2 pound steak (flank, minute, round); dredge with 1 tablespoon cornstarch, moisten with 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 

Heat in skillet over the highest flame: 3 tablespoons peanut oil.  Saute beef in hot pan 2 minutes.  Add vegetables - 2 cups (snow peas, carrots, celery or onions, peas, carrots, etc).  Sprinkle vegetables with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/3 cup water (or weak chicken broth).  Cook about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.   Finish cooking. Season with 1 teaspoon MSG.
