Times Fruit Cobbler

Biscuit Topping

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Cream butter and sugar together, sift flour, salt, and baking powder; add to butter with milk.  Pour into shallow 2-quart baking dish. 

Fruit Filling

2 cups berries, cherries or peaches
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups water

Spoon 2 cups of fruit over biscuit topping batter.  Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and water.  

Bake at 375-degrees until set and light brown, 45-50 minutes.  Fruit will sink.
