Beef-Bacon Roll-Ups

Beef-Bacon Roll-Ups, a vintage clipped recipe


1 pound ground beef
1 small egg, beaten
1/2 cup sharp cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons onion, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons catsup
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 to 10 slices bacon


Combine beef, onion, egg, and cheese. Season with catsup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Press and roll meat mixture into 8 to 10-inch roll and slice in one-inch rounds. Draw bacon strip around each slice of meat and fasten with a toothpick. Broil or pan-broil about 5 minutes on each side.
