Ingredients
2o graham crackers
1 cube {stick} butter
1 1/2 cups Pippin apples (4 large apples)
3 tablespoons sugar
pinch cinnamon

1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup sugar +
2 eggs, separated

Method
Roll 20 graham crackers finely and add 1 cube melted butter. Line a large pie dish with this and pat with a spoon so that it is firm. steam 1 1/2 cups Pippin apples or (4 large apples); add 3 tablespoons sugar and a little cinnamon and a piece of butter. Put this in a pie dish, then take 1 cup cottage cheese. Put through stainer so that it is fine. Add 1/2 cup sugar, yolks of 2 eggs, a little salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well and put on top of apples.
Next, take whites of 2 eggs; beat until stiff. Add a little sugar and vanilla and put on cheese mixture.
Bake in a slow oven 1/2 hour.
