Rolled Lace Crisps

Ingredients

1/2 cup dark molasses
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sifted flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon ginger

Method

Heat molasses to boiling point, add margarine and stir until melted. 

Sift flour, sugar, and ginger together and add gradually to molasses mixture, and mix well. Cook over low heat until thick – about 3 minutes. Let cool and put in the refrigerator. 

When cold, place 1/2 teaspoonful about 2-inches apart and bake at 325-degrees for 7-8 minutes. 

Remove and roll up (over wooden spoon handle). If they get too cold to roll, return to oven a minute or two.
