Dip for Seafood and Raw Vegetables

Ingredients

1 minced garlic clove
1-2 teaspoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoons salt
Pinch of mustard
3-ounce package of cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped olives
1/4 teaspoon thyme
Dash Tobasco
Chopped parsley or chives

Method

Crush together 1 minced garlic clove, 1-2 teaspoons minced onion, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of mustard.  Add a 3-ounce package of cream cheese.  Blend and add 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 tablespoons chopped olives, 1/4 teaspoon thyme, a dash of Tobasco, and chopped parsley or chives. 

Notes:
For chilled shrimp & rock lobster.

From Times

Make just before serving or else the garlic is overpowering. Good, quite hot in its own little way. Effective with a bowl of red sauce alongside for boiled shrimp.
