Nice to see this recipe on-line! I still use my recipe from my BC cookbook from the’70’s (though it’s coming apart lol)
The only difference is the book calls for 3/4 C bread crumbs and only 1/8 tsp pepper – so just a matter of taste:) I scale the recipe down just a bit if I only have ground chuck. I saute the minced onlon to soften. Make the sauce as noted, except 1/8 tsp pepper. Great with white rice. Definitely a keeper! I love your idea about publishing old recipes from note cards etc. I plan to visit your site again!

  3. I was so happy to find this recipe. I moved and can’t find my 1960 BC cookbook. Our family Christmas dinner is going to be different this year. Everyone is bringing an appetizer and most of our young ones have never heard of Swedish meatballs. I’ll get some cute toothpicks and save the sauce for another meal!! Merry Christmas everyone!! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻
