1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups sifted flour
1 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup dates
1 cup nutmeats, chopped
Blend butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and flour until it is like cornmeal. Take out one cup for topping.
Add 2 eggs, sour milk, and salt. Mix well and put in a large pan.
Then add 1 cup of dates and 1 cup of chopped nutmeats to 1cup of mix and spread on top of the first layer.
Bake in a 375-degree oven for 30 minutes or more.
