Chinese Rice

A handwritten vintage recipe for Chinese Rice; make this recipe with sausage, onion, celery, green pepper, water chestnuts, pimento, water, chicken noodle soup mixture, and Minute Rice. Combine all ingredients and bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.
A vintage handwritten recipe for Chinese Rice


1 pound sausage
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup celery
1/2 cup green pepper

8 ounce can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1 small can of pimentoes, chopped
3 cups water, boiled
2 packages chicken noodle soup

1 cup Minute Rice


Simmer sausage, onion, celery, and green pepper until done. Add drained and chopped water chestnuts, chopped pimentoes, 3 cups boiled water, and two packages of chicken noodle soup; simmer for a few minutes. Add one cup Minute Rice. 

Combine all ingredients together, bake at 350-degrees for 30 minutes. 

I use regular rice and bake for about an hour.
