Chocolate Fudge Frosting


3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 cups milk
3 cups sugar
Dash of salt
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


Add chocolate to milk and place over low heat. Cook until smooth and blended, stirring constantly, add sugar, salt, and corn syrup; stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Continue boiling, stirring occasionally until a small amount of mixture forms a soft ball in cold water, remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Beat until right consistency to spread. 


If necessary, add a little hot water to keep soft
