Easy Apple Cake

A vintage recipe card for an Easy Apple Cake, or an "Easy Appley Cake". This cake is made with eggs, a yellow cake mix, and apple pie filling in a 9x13 baking pan, and topped with an "Easy Appley Cake Topping" made with brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and chopped nuts.

"Easy Appley Cake"

Ingredients

3 eggs, beaten
1 package yellow cake mix
1 can (small) apple pie filling

Method

Beat 3 eggs, add 1 package yellow cake mix, and 1 small can apple pie filling and mix well. Pour into a 13x9.5 inch greased pan. Sprinkle with "Easy Appley Cake Topping" and bake at 350-degrees for 30-35 minutes.

 

"Easy Appley Cake Topping"

Ingredients

1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts

Method

Mix brown sugar and flour, cut in butter and add cinnamon and chopped nuts. Sprinkle on the cake before baking.
