Fluffy Five Minute Frosting

Fluffy Five Minute Frosting, a vintage typed recipe card

Ingredients

2 egg whites, unbeaten
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup cold water
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Method

Place all ingredients except vanilla in top of a double boiler over boiling water. Remove mixer from the stand. Beat at speed 2 until ingredients are well mixed, then at speed 9 for 4 or 5 minutes, or until mixture will form a peak when beater is lifted. Remove from water, add vanilla. Spread on cake.
