1 12-ounce can 7-Up
1 cup of sugar
3 heaping tablespoons Corn Starch
Several drops of red food coloring
3 to 4 cups of fresh strawberries
Microwave for 3-4 minutes on high, until it boils: 1 12-ounce can 7-Up, 1 cup of sugar, and 3 heaping tablespoons of Corn Starch. Add a couple of drops red food coloring and 3 to 4 cups fresh strawberries.
Place mixture in pie crust. Cool in refrigerator for four hours.
This recipe is very similar to the Strawberry Glace Pie from the San Fransico collection. The ingredients of the Glace pie are strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and water; so this recipe substitutes 7-Up for the water.
Of course, this recipe can be garnished with whipped cream as suggested in the Strawberry Glace Pie recipe.
