Onion Casserole

A vintage handwritten recipe for an Onion Casserole


1 large chopped onion
1 package corn muffin mix
1 cup cream-style corn (8-ounces)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oleo
1/3 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
1 cup grated cheese


Saute onions in oleo.

Combine muffin mix, eggs, milk, corn; pour into an 8-inch pan sprayed or greased. Add sour cream, salt, and 1/2 of the cheese to the onion mixture, stir until cheese is melted. Spoon over batter mixture, and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.

Bake at 450-degrees for 25-30 minutes.
