Apple Indian Pudding

Ingredients

2 cups apples, quartered
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 cups milk
1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Method

2 cups quartered apples, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 4 cups milk, 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Scald milk and pour over cornmeal, add other ingredients, mix well and pour into a buttered dish and bake in a slow oven (300-degrees) for about 3 hours.
