2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup berries
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup sweet milk
1/4 cup shortening


Sift flour, soda, salt, and sugar together. Combine egg with vinegar, milk, and shortening. Mix blackberries with 1/4 cup of the flour mixture. [Combine wet ingredients with dry, fold in blackberries.] Bake at 425-degrees for 25 minutes.
