24 medium-sized cucumbers
12 onions
1/2 cup salt, scant
1-quart vinegar
2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons celery seed
2 teaspoon mustard seed
2 teaspoons ginger
2 teaspoons turmeric powder


Wash cucumbers and remove ends, and cut into slices. Let stand in cold water overnight. In the morning, drain well, sprinkle with salt and then let them stand for 1/2 hour. Drain well. Slice onions and add. Then add the rest of the ingredients, heat to piping how. Bottle and seal.
