Ingredients
Butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
Method
Rub a heavy, shallow pan with a dot of butter, (slice – button size). Add 1 cup of sugar and set over moderate heat. Stir constantly until sugar melts (know as caramelizing). Caramelize 1 cup sugar and add 1/2 cup boiling water very slowly so it will not boil over.
Simmer 10 minutes.
