1 whole chicken, hen
1 onion, chopped fine
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup sour cream
Chicken fat or butter
3 cups cooked noodles, drained in cold water
Cut up a whole chicken (a hen), wash, and soak in warm water, simmering for about 3 hours. Remove meat from bones and cut into small pieces.
Fry the onion in chicken fat or butter until golden brown, add paprika and chicken broth. Salt to taste and simmer; add enough flour to make a thick gravy, add sour cream.
Place 3 cups of cooked noodles, (drained in cold water) in the bottom of a baking dish.
Place the chicken on the top of the noodles and pour the gravy over the chicken. Sprinkle potato chip crumbs over the top and bake for 30 minutes in a moderate oven (350-degrees).
