1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash nutmeg or 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 can (no. 303) fruit cocktail
1/4 cup brown sugar
Sift together dry ingredients – flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg or vanilla. Add 1 can (no 303 – 16 ounces) fruit cocktail and 1 egg to dry ingredients and stir. Pour into pan and sprinkle 1/4 cup brown sugar on top.
Bake at 350-degrees for one hour.
Serve with Lemon Sauce or Whipped Cream
