Ingredients

Small 1/2 cup butter
1 cup of sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup milk, filled to 2/3 with water
2 teaspoon baking powder
Whites of 2 eggs
{? 1 teaspoon vanilla}

Method

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly, add flour and milk alternately, then add stiffly beaten egg whites, baking powder, and vanilla on top. Fold in well, but do not beat.
