6 squares semisweet chocolate
1/2 cup brandy
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 1/2 cups morsels of wheat bran cereal, crushed
1 cup finely chopped apricots
1/2 cup 10X (confectioner’) sugar
Unsweetened cocoa powder OR 10X (confectioners’ sugar)
1. Melt chocolate in top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling, water; remove from heat. Stir in brandy and corn syrup.
2. Combine bran cereal, apricots and the 1/2 cup 10X sugar in a large bowl. Add chocolate mixture; stir together until well blended. Let stand for about 30 minutes.
3. Form into 1/2-inch balls. Roll in cocoa powder or 10X sugar. Place in candy cups in a covered container. Let mellow several days.
