Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mincemeat
Method
Mix all ingredients except mincemeat. Roll out thin and place cookies on sheet or pan. Put a teaspoon of mincemeat on each cookie and put another cookie on top (sandwich fashion). Bake in a moderate oven.
