Ingredients
1 stick butter
2 egg yolks, beaten slightly
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 pound dates, pitted
1 cup nuts, chopped
2 cups Rice Krispies
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
Mix in a skillet butter, egg yolks, sugar, and dates. Bring to boil for 2 minutes (Tommye uses a deep-iron skillet) – boil slowly, take off heat and add chopped nuts, Rice Krispies, and vanilla. Cool slightly and form into balls. Roll in coconut. Refrigerate.
