Fruit Cocktail Torte

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon soda
Salt

1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 small can fruit cocktail

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts

Method

Sift together flour, sugar, soda, and salt. 

Beat 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 small can fruit cocktail. Beat with flour mixture. Fold into 8×8 pan; put 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup nuts over top.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 325-degrees.
