Ingredients

2 strips bacon
1 cup minced onion
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup bean liquid
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package frozen beans or 1 can (1 pound) green beans, drained

Method

Brown bacon until crisp.  Remove bacon.  Saute onion in bacon fat, until yellow.  Stir in flour, add liquid and seasonings; bring to a boil.  Stir in beans.  Heat through.  Sprinkle with crisp bacon bits, serve.
