Place fig leaves in the bottom of pot and then put in figs, alternate until all figs are in and then cover with leaves, fill with cold water and cook until semi-soft, take out and cut a little cross in the end and make syrup. When the syrup boils, add coloring and figs, turning until all color evenly and let boil until the syrup becomes very thick. Take out and set on a dish. Serve on a fig leaf. Can add a little piece of vanilla bean.
