Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons melted margarine
1 cup uncooked rice
3 large tomatoes or 1-pound can tomatoes
1 1/2 cup water (use only 1 cup if using canned tomatoes)
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
Method
Brown beef and onion in butter. Stir in rice, add tomatoes and salt. Cover and simmer for forty-five minutes or until rice is tender; add more water if needed.
Yield 8 servings.
