Hot Cheese Dip

Hot Cheese Dip

Ingredients

2 pounds Velveeta Cheese
1/2 large green pepper (chopped)
1 medium onion
2 ripe tomatoes (skinned)
1/3 cup chili powder

Method

Melt cheese (cut in chunks) in a double boiler, add pepper, onion, and tomato, and let melt thoroughly until tomatoes are blended into the cheese.

Let cool a bit, then add chili powder. It is usually necessary to add 1 tablespoon flour (mixed with chili powder) to keep spread from being too thin. Keep over hot water while serving. Carrot or celery sticks make a nice “dipper” for this, or potato chips, Fritos, etc.
