Ice Box Muffins


1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Salad Oil
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 1/2 cup flour
2 1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Kellogs All-Bran
1 cup Nabisco 100% Bran
1 cup boiling water
1 cup seedless raisins, nuts, or dates


Pour boiling water over 100% Bran, set aside.  Cream sugar and oil – add eggs, beat well.  Mix in buttermilk and sifted dry ingredients (mix this by hand) add bran mixture and dry bran.  Add raisins last. 

Store covered in refrigerator until ready to use.  Keeping up to 3 weeks.  Do not bake same day as mixed.  

Bake 400-degrees for 20 minutes.
