Lemon Snowball

Lemon Snowball


2 envelopes gelatin
4 tablespoons cold water
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
Dash salt
1 (12-ounce) can frozen orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Grated peel of one lemon
1 pint whipped cream or 2 cups dream whip
1 (10-ounce) Angel Food Cake, (cut into small pieces)

1/2 cup whip cream or dream whip
4 tablespoons powdered sugar


Sprinkle together 2 envelopes of gelatin and 4 tablespoons of cold water, let stand five minutes to soften.  Then add 1 cup boiling water, 1 cup sugar, a dash of salt, 12-ounce can of frozen orange juice, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and the grated peel of one lemon; refrigerate one hour.  Then add 1 pint of whipped cream or 2 cups dream whip to the gelatin mixture. 

Alternate in a pan or mold (lined with wax paper), Angel Food Cake (cut into small pieces) and gelatin mixture.  Refrigerate 1 to 2 days. 

Top with 1/2 cup whip cream or dream whip, 4 tablespoons powdered sugar and garnish with coconut.
