Orange Pie
A vintage typed recipe for an Orange Pie; this pie is made with the juice and rind of two oranges, sugar, flour, egg yolks, butter, and the juice of 1/2 a lemon if desired. Bake in a crust and top with a meringue.

Ingredients
Grated rind and juice of 2 oranges
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
3 well-beaten egg yolks
2 tablespoons melted butter
Method
Grated rind and juice of 2 oranges, stir together with a cupful of sugar and a tablespoon of flour, add 3 well-beaten egg yolks, 2 tablespoons melted butter—Bake in lower crust and use whites for meringue. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon if desired.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 oranges, juice & gated rind
4 egg whites, beaten
Method
Cream 1 tablespoon butter with 1/2 cup sugar and the beaten yolks of 4 eggs, juice and grated rind of 2 oranges and the beaten whites, stirred in lightly. Bake in under crust.
