A vintage typed recipe for Peach Betty


1 can sliced peaches, No 2 size
2 1/2 cups stale bread crumbs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter


Butter a round baking dish and sprinkle in it a layer of peach slices. Sprinkle with a coating of crumbs, sugar, and butter. Make a second layer of peaches and more of the crumb mixture, alternating the layers until the ingredients are used. Bake in a moderate oven [350-degrees] about 45 minutes. Serve hot with cream or hard sauce.
