1 cup Gold Medal Flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Blend flour, butter and confectioner’s sugar thoroughly.
Press evenly in 8x8x2 pan. Bake 10 or 12 minutes.
Beat rest of ingredients together. Pour over crust and bake 20 or 25 minutes.
The filling puffs when baking but flattens when cool.
Makes 16 squares.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over squares.
Heat oven to 350-degrees.
