Ingredients
2 large heads of cabbage
8 large carrots
8 large onions
6 red peppers
6 green peppers
1/2 cup salt
1/2 gallon vinegar
6 cups of sugar
1 tablespoon celery seed
1 tablespoon mustard seed
Method
Grind cabbage, carrots, onions, red peppers, and green peppers; add 1/2 cup salt and let stand 3 hours, then drain. Then cover with 1/2 gallon vinegar, 6 cups of sugar, 1 tablespoon celery seed, 1 tablespoon mustard seed. Mix well and keep in an open jar until used.
