Mrs. Oklahoma’s Strawberry Cake

  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 3 tablespoons sifted flour
  • 1 box strawberry gelatin dry-dessert
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries thawed
  • Frosting
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1 box confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries


Mrs. Oklahoma’s Strawberry Cake

  • Add flour, gelatin, water, oil and unbeaten eggs to cake mix in bowl.
  • Beat 2 minutes – medium speed, until smooth.
  • Add frozen strawberries and beat one minute, or until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour into two greased and floured 9-inch layer pans. Bake at 350-degrees, 35 minutes.
  • Frost when cool


  • Cream margarine until smooth.
  • Add confectioner’s sugar a few tablespoons at a time and salt.
  • Add strawberries as needed to mix in sugar.
  • Beat thoroughly.
