Nellie’s Jelly Tart Cookies


1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Roll out, cut into round cookies.  


2 egg whites
1 teaspoon melted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups coconut

Beat egg whites until stiff, then mix in sugar, butter, coconut. 


Press center of each cookie.  Spread topping on each cookie with a little jam or jelly in the center.  

Bake about 10 minutes; 400 to 425-degrees.
