Peanut Brittle - Dewey Bremer

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white Karo
1/4 cup hot water
Butter the size of a walnut

1 cup peanuts

1 scant teaspoons soda

Method

Combine sugar, white Karo syrup, and hot water to a boil; add 1 cup of peanuts, stir until golden brown. Remove from stove, add a scant teaspoon of soda. Stir well and turn out on a greased cookie sheet. Let cool, then break into pieces.

Can substitute oleo, use good salted peanuts, rinse off with hot water.
