Ingredients

1 cup pecan meats
1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar
3 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Grind 1 cup pecan meats
Crush { } in a food mill, from 1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar. 

Whip stiff 3 egg whites, add sugar very slowly, beating constantly.  Fold in pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 

Drop batter from a teaspoon, will  {separate}, on a greased and floured cooky tin.  Bake in a moderate oven (325-degrees) for 15 minutes. 

Makes about 30 1.5-inch wafers.
