Pineapple Tea Bread

 

A recipe from Jean Allen – Kroger
“Live Better For Less”

Ingredients

No 211 can Kroger Crushed Pineapple, drained (12-ounce can)
2 cups sifted Kroger Enriched All-Purpose Flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup finely chopped dates
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Method

Into a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and soda; stir in dates and pecans. Blend in remaining ingredients; stir just until all ingredients are moistened. Pour into a greased 9x5x3-inch pan; bake in preheated 350-degree oven 1 hour. cook 10 minutes; remove from pan; cool.

Makes 1 loaf.
