Ingredients
3 cups flour
1 package active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni
Method
In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of the flour, yeast, oregano, and garlic powder. In a saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar, and salt just until warm (115-degrees to 120-degrees), stirring constantly to melt the butter. Add to the dry ingredients, beat at low speed with an electric mixer for half-a-minute, scraping the side of the bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes at high speed. By hand, stir in pepperoni, and enough remaining flour to make a moderate-soft dough. Cover and let rise until double(45-60 minutes). Stir down. Spread evenly in a greased loaf pan. Let rise until double (about 30 minutes).
Bake at 375-degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from pan, makes 1 loaf.
