Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup Wesson oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup cooked prunes
1 cup nuts
Method
Mix dry ingredients and add eggs, Wesson oil, buttermilk, cooked prunes, and nuts.
Bake at 350-degrees for 30-minutes, longer for a tube pan.
Sauce for Prune Cake
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon vanill
1 teaspoon while syrup
Bring to a boil and pour over hot cake.
