Ingredients
1 package (6-ounces) chocolate bits
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Method
Melt half the chocolate bits and margarine over low heat; cool. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add remaining chocolate bits and nuts to the flour mix. Coat with the flour mix and set aside. Beat eggs; add sugar and vanilla and mix. Add chocolate mixture and blend well. Add flour, chocolate bits and nut mixture; mix until well blended. Drop by teaspoonsful two inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes at 400-degrees.
Yield: 2 dozen.
