Pepper, if desired
1/2 cup milk (or water)
1 teaspoon flour
Cook sliced potatoes until done in salted water; leave as much liquid as you like in potatoes.
Put in a dish, season with butter and pepper, if desired.
Mix about 1/2 cup of milk or water with 1 teaspoon flour, stir until flourish dissolved, pour over potatoes, top with cheese.
Cook about 15 minutes at 300-degrees or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
