2 quarts strawberries – prepared
2 tablespoon vinegar

4 cups sugar


2 quarts strawberries, prepared 2 tablespoon vinegar, and soak 3 minutes. With a rolling boil, add 4 cups of sugar and cook 6 to 10 minutes in a rolling boil; skim off the foam and pour into a sterile jar. Let stand 24 hours, stirring occasionally then bottle cold. 

This sauce can be used for butters, peach, etc.
